Singing with Sylvia

Well if this isn't one of the happiest days of the year, I don't know what is! Of course, for me I celebrate more than once a year.😂

Part 3 of How it all began.......Our first project with Prairie Patch was a book and cassette. It was double sided and these are the two covers. My sister Anna Ashcroft did the pictures and it was for two of our songs which found their way onto my Renji Penji Album. I know Clare still has this cassette, I don't. Do You? How about the book, we sold those separately as did I because we had a lot of them!😂 ... See MoreSee Less

I am enjoying reading your posts about 'How it all began'. Thank you for sharing.🥰

Continuing the Saga of How it all Began.....This was our first ever photo shoot as Prairie Patch. It was so much fun. We are so young and apparently Clare Pattison we were goof balls. lol The one of the guitar is the one we used as our promo shot.

So much fun - thanks for sharing. I remember you playing at Camp Easter Seal, I think 2002.

These are so great!!!

Oh man, I wish that I had watched some of these performances. I can imagine how entertaining you two were!!

Love it! Clare taught me piano. You guys are just both so fun!

I've got the dates all picked out, but I haven't gotten a lot of park recommends. Give me some of your favourite park spots for my Pop-Up concerts. Join Sylvia's Summer Park Concerts to get a heads up when and where to go for all the music fun! ... See MoreSee Less

Nellie Breen Park! Along with my other suggestions.

This is where it all began. Clare Pattison and I formed, Prairie Patch (1990) and we put out this album with the first songs I ever wrote. There are six of them and I'll be sending them to spotify in the next month, so watch for that. Clare and I had many great adventures and are still fast friends!🧡🎉🧡 So much fun. We put out a book and tape set too of Charlie Crocodile & Renji Penji. Cassettes! lol It has been a journey. Anyone still have theirs?!

I still have mine. I also remember doing a stage version of Charlie Crocodile with my gr 6 class. We made full size 3 D animal heads out of paper mache. We ran out of paste and opted for flour and water...my class smelled like bread for weeks!

These songs are loved just as much as the solo gold.

I do Sylvia. You gifted them to me and i left one at the Kapuskasing Library, and gave a friend with young ones a copy.Loved all the songs on it,but especially Renji Penji.Counting in gypsyReminded me of dad,and how he taught us counting in polish.Just listened to it again this morning on line.Don,t have a CD player any more, and my polish counting ,only up to five, came back,as i listened to the song.Very proud of you ,and your talents.

Have em all 🥰

We still have them all Singing with Sylvia! Both my kids loved you so much and Kipton still asks me to put you on in the car! Not the Cassettes though Lol!

Not the originals on cassette but I do have this cd!
